Denim Skull is a garage punk, post-proto punk, and gross-fi band from Los Angeles. They have a wide range of styles in their songs, these dudes fucking rule. I'm pretty surprised they're a LA band. I've never seen any flyers of this band. On the way to work today i was hearing Jimmy's mix tape's that he posts on his youtube and "Subculture 666" played and i was like yeahhhh this is dope!

This is their first release, both of their release have been a self tilted but both are fucking great. I really enjoy the gross vocals they have. Hope to see more from this band in the future.

FOLLETO! Ladron E.P was self released in 2016, recorded by Toby at the junkyard. Also with sick art by Sal. Took em like 2 hours to record this E.P, bring you 3 tracks of fucking straight forward los angeles punk sound. On the plus side, they just repressed a couple more tapes so if you catch one of their gigs, try to grab a tape before they're gone. The members in this band are quite good friends of mine, really cool people. Also very good musicians. These tracks are noise, fast, and also very catchy and to top it off spanish vocals.. 

Serious shit though just listen to E.P, you'll be hooked. Folleto fucking rules.

La Equi - Self Titled

LA EQUI.. No doubt one of my top 3 favorite bands in los angeles. I've seen them play once, only witnessed 3 songs although. Those 3 songs were well damn played. Those guitar riffs are fucking clever, also those drums man.. The drummer played a couple cover shows few months back, and they were doing some pretty classic misfit covers and also he was drumming and doing vocals. Which to me is pretty hard, not impossible but hard and dude was on point. Later finding out he play's in La Equi. Spanish vocals to top it off, these dudes fucking rule. 
They just kicked off a tour few weeks ago, new tape!!

The Dark.. Now this band is insanely smart, simple but genuinely played. Ive seen them play a few times, and man every time. Always a really great set, their first Demo was also as good as this self title, but honestly once you hear Badge and Gun. You'll say yup, and most likely instantly add this to your playlist.  Los angeles punk for you. 

High recommended as fuck
